As a side-note, at least the public buses here do not suddenly
turn into a petrol station and refuel with the passengers still on
board while "on the way" to the next bus stop.
Nor our interchanges choked with buses.
On one rainy night, we got stuck inside a bus and moved....3
metres in 30 minutes. Even though the interchange resembled an
oversized bus-stop, we were effectively still within the
interchange after half and hour.

One of the plastic bus-stops which is completely useless in
shielding you from the sun. And best of all, after I took this
picture, the bus zoomed past without stopping.
Faced with the prospect of waiting another half an hour, we
elected to walk in the sun for 45 minutes rather than bake
here.
When I got back to S'pore, the transport here is
like....heavenly!
