Seriously, this thread should not be open until the first Mark 3 gets laid up or dereg. This is causing confusion. If you guys want to discuss about the Mark 3s that are refurbished, kinding change to the appropriate title.

i asked SBS9364S wether if any MK III was laid up officially to justify starting this almost-useless thread in August. He replied the justificaion is to list out the refurbished MK IIIs that's gonna be extended, just want to compile which bus had refurbished (sic) in this thread. And the der-reg starts in Nov....

Hey comeon 9364S, August, Sept, Oct. Late Sept/early Oct start this type of thread also won't be too late since by that time we probably have info of MK III's layup. Though the dereg stated in sgwiki - Nov, but i also agree with SBS233X that this thread shouldn't be opened till the first MK III's get laid up.

Lock first/ rename this thread.Think 9364S jumped gun way too early like quite kancheong to say hey i started this thread so that we all can post in my thread even though MK IIIs haven't go layup.

The lifespan expiry of the affected MK3 to be de-reg this year will be extended ..... like what happen to the MB0405

i've told him via msn when he created this topic. told him that there's no rush to open up this topic currently. don't think this topic should be opened now since there's no mkiiis laid-up yet nor redeployed for lay-up. if the topic is discussing about the mkiiis being refurbished, it should be included into the topic. however, it wasn't, and the discussions (discussing about mkiiis refurbishments) in here are far from what the current topic suggests.

There's no lay ups nor redeployments of the MK IIIs in regard to their lifespan expiry too. So far most of the replies was on what MK IIIs are refurbished, which defeats the purpose of this thread where supposedly it's discussing MK IIIs redeployments/layups and we see none of it.

So no need to make sticky...it seems SBS9364S want to get fame or something by having his thread stickied from now till the end of the MK III's last bus dereg, by having some weak discussion about refurb that isn't to the topic. So mods can rename this thread to "Refurbishments of SBST B10M MK IIIs" and no need sticky ba since refurb of O405s and purple/red SMRT seats thread also never sticky.

For me, I judge the bus which is preparing to extend lifespan is to see the shiny interior of buses. Just like Merczs.

i didnt know SBST got paint white colour on the rim? Sbs615/616/617 are all NOT repainted at all at the exterior.
