I certainly hope that they
don’t “absorb” my refundable deposit during the “exchange” process.
That would be unreasonable and result in me paying S$8 for the
original ez-link card.
I also hope that the
publicity campaign to educate people, especially the older folks,
is more intense that the way it is now, because it would be sad if
the older generation end up paying the more expensive cash fares
instead of ez-link fares even though their cards have
$2.90.
If the above publicity
campaign to re-educate Singaporeans turns out to be ineffective, I
hope that they give a adjustment period for Singaporeans, where
Singaporeans who do not have sufficient money in their ez-link
cards can pay for their fares in cash (but at the ez-link card
rate).
All are just
hopes.
We all know that as far as
history goes, it has always been efficiency (in the eyes of the
company) and unreasonable profitability over compassion and
service.
