but honestly...with 500 Euro IV "prototypes" it sure took a long time to fix the probs on the Euro IV version in the Euro V version.

and by 'fixing' it probably meant adding more weight to places that were 'weightless' before, thus explaining the uninspiring performance

just to prove a point about safety - volvo DO roll their trucks and buses in tests. as for scania, i've yet to come across pictures or videos of them doing so, probably even zilch, which means that scania only probably does the impact tests (i've seen side impact) on their buses.

I know about this. I've seen their video before. But it only applies to their Completed bus range. The chassis range werent tested in such manner. Its up to the bodywork maker to provide the safety measure.

i miss this bus xD very unique esp the engine sound.

Yeah the MK2s were my most fav buses.My non bus fan friends in school also always described the MK2s as the 'cat engine noise bus' cuz of its unique 'meowing' cat like sound when it accelerates and moves off.Then after they were scrapped i started liking Mercs.Too bad now we dont have any more unique sounding buses like this MK2s anymore.Greatly miss them and their unique 'cat' engine sound.

I think it's probably chosen in line with the design they went with when they designed 9889U's/B9TL's bodywork. The front, side and rear are quite lookalike.

The AVBWs (B9TL Wright bodied) in Hong Kong succeeded the ASVs and 3ASVs (VSOs) in Hong Kong. It’s great to see better round looking buses in Singapore.
