SMRT's Volgren Bendies

For those who are observant, you might have seen some of the front volgren bendies are changes to its rigid counterpart..(TIB960L)

Compare the front design of (TIB1178Y with TIB1183G) and you will know what I mean.

I suppose initally the front look are the same? How come SMRT change some of the front look?

There is nothing different with the front look originally; SMRTB just happened to take out the headlight covers so they look different. Compare the pics below:

The normal Volgrens:

Then those with headlight covers removed:

and then the oddball Volgren which had the area around the headlights painted like TIB959S/TIB952K

Ok. I just wan to know y that is 2 type of front design... SMRT modified it? I rmb last time only got the (TIB1178Y) design..

All are the same design. Its just SMRTB itchy hand take out the headlight covers of 1181L, 1182J, 1183G, 1186Z and the rest of the Lance + Hinos + Merz that have Volgren body

Are there 2 different types of headlight design, or when SMRT removed the covers they also changed the headlight to be similar to the Volgren rigids?

and changed the headlamps too...changed to those on the Hispanos..

For Volgren Bendies

The side window glass height designs were also differrent. TIB1024H, TIB1178Y - TIB1182J seems higher and TIB1183G - TIB1197S seems like WAB bendies.

Also to note, TIB1178Y - TIB1187X got 2 squarish black holders to open the engine cover, while TIB1024H, TIB1188T - TIB1197S don't have.

Last thing to note, TIB1024H and TIB1178Y are the only Volgren Bendies that got lower SMRT livery than the others. Cos 1 is a demo and the other is the first Volgren Bendy.

Different buses different specification ma, still prefered the ones with headlight cover. TIB986M is perm 190 why the rims not painted white but TIB988H have ?

TIB1035B got a new painted white rims.

Cos TIB986M got redeployment to perm 190 after the other 190 buses got white rims, so I think KJDEP lazy to paint TIB986M's rims lor. Ahyway, for TIB1042E and TIB1177A, both got back black rims liao.
