should make 61 WAB not 189. quick trasnfer bus fleets.. =XD

because 61 go chinatown and 189 dunt.. and 61 has more PIW accessabble bus stops (rats! i cant really argue this because 185, 147, 51 are WAB'd) whereas many sectors of 61 dun have WAB services run..hahaha)

Except for being 'explained' in the past as the 'route-king' of Bukit Batok (I think this is something to do with passenger-per-kilometer and not passenger amount), the load and actual passenger-in-wheelchair does exist for the need of OCs. Presently service 61 is not under Kranji, or I guess some OCs would be on the service by now. This is totally up to the company operations and not for us to decide.

Looking at the load that s189 frequently gets in the morning would quite justify why operations put OCs on the service. I am also amazed at how the area along the route developed over the years, especially the lots near BBDEP, the factory loads just reach the point of optimized utilization. Using high-capacity buses is just the right choice to do the job.

SMB30Z lousy meh? It certainly has no life running on S-shift 811 around Yishun instead of running full day on 854 along Yishun to Bedok passing by Hougang, Ubi and Eunos areas .

I would say that the 2 perm drivers of SMB30Z had been downgraded to drive that dreadful TIB436J from now on...

Woo you sound very bitter in your post. Jealous that S854 can't go WAB? Too bad lor.

Let's just say that I took 30Z full trip once and had to withstand the whining gearbox sound for the entire journey. Not forgetting it had the sharpest and loudest whining sound for a full 4 weeks.

Oh yeah, S811 is certainly more exciting to ride on than S854 (boring route, from Yishun, 4 left turns and you reach Bedok) during the peaks when the loading gets fantastically high...

Hmm, I find it nothing wrong with TIB436J, Maybe because 854 is not the time yet. Just be patient will do

Yishun has taken off the covering for the WAB signages since this morning.

Usage panel at PIW holding area beside Pax Svc Ctr indicates 171, 811 & 851 as WAB services.

Boarding will be done at Berth 4 which currently has no services utilising it.

JW Central 3 bus stop at opp JP has been shifted temporarily due to roadworks.(for 172)

hmm, i not pretty sure cos I saw the CCK int notice about the non-friendly WAB bus stop locations and it stated the reason as "less than 1m clearence".. can somebody care to explain?

1m clearance must be for the wheelchair to go through since it is supposed to be WAB.

Came across a few WAB Merc on 851, they actually have a sticker on the front doors saying something like, please be patient and the driver is helping the wheelchair passenger.

But to read this message, the front door has to be closed. Does this mean that the other passengers who want to board/alight at the front door have to wait for the wheelchair passenger? Actually this is also not a bad thing, like the kindness movement, give way to alighting passengers kinda concept.
