Basically, these group of boys were on the rear of the upper
deck of the bus, making a huge din of themselves when most of the
passengers had left the bus about 10 stops away from Pasir Ris
Interchange. They were pulling on the seat's backrest, damaging the
seats at the second last row in the rear, and were standing and
jumping around on them. None of the passengers remaining on board
dared to interfere with them as they were being very wild and
vuglar.
At least two of the perpeturators are possibly brothers or twin
brothers.
When the bus reached the interchange, the group of boys alighted
from the bus; it is believed the bus captain noticed at this time
the damaged seats, and hence reported it to the police. It happened
that there were a few police officers at the interchange, and some
of the passengers who just alighted from the bus reported these
boys to them. The officers gave chase and caught up with them at
Pasir Ris MRT Station. Intially, none of them admitted to their
crimes, but two of them did eventually confess. The police had
taken note of their identities and are investigating the
incident.
