Let me see, SMRT is buying 66+ or 132 OC500LEs. But only about
40+ Nissan UDs to be deregistered. Hopefully the extra fleets would
be required to help either to introduce another new trunk service
into Sembawang or to add extra fleets on certain bus services
so as to improve frequencies.
If WLDEP still refuse to take in the OC500LEs by then, the only
way is to let AMDEP and KJDEP take more OC500LEs instead and
continue to donate their MB0405s to WLDEP.
The OC500LEs were slated as both replacement for the UDs and
also for fleet expansion somewhere. SMRT should concentrate on
improving frequencies first before adding new services ba.
