Most possible reason is likely they wanted to press "Last Bus" instead.

It wouldn't make sense that at 2pm it was the last 851 out of Yishun ;).

Yes. By right they are supposed to show Last Bus on the EDS for the Last Bus, but most of them don't do it anymore.

I just realised too that there are other "messages" to press... Heehee

Festive messages like Deepavali, Hari Raya, Christmas & New Year are stored as the first four codes under Message function. IIRC "Merry X-mas & Happy New Year" is under code M4 whereas "EZ Reader Out Of Order / Please Pay Cash" happens to be M5. Might be due to this that the SL presses wrongly. xD

Last bus is code M6.

Yah..the other day it scared the heck out of me when I was trying to catch the last 852 at Lentor at approx 1130pm...the driver of the second last bus put last bus on his EDS -_-. left me wondering how did the bus fly from Yishun to Lentor in less than 3 minutes when by schedule its approximately 10.

Hey got one time....when i was down for buying drinks..i saw 911E which is scania(SMRT) infront it put 911E behind u guess wat it put? N i saw it 2 times same bus same day at night...the answer is it put 187 Behind while 911E was infront

eh..no. Deepavali is then M4, Christmas is M1, Lunar New Year is M2, Hari Raya Puasa is M3.
