of course not. he/she doesnt need to. but doesnt need to scold the commuter too.

at least taxi drivers do not scold their passengers for these little things.and we not talking about taxis anyway.

At least you flag the bus, drivers are being alert, rather than driver guessing each and everyone in the bus-stop whether which potential communters will board the bus. Each day, driver need guess more than 100 times for this game?

If bus-stop is only for commuters, I should not even see people flagging taxi in the bus-stop. I could be in bus-stop resting or waiting for taxi or private bus service or other reasons. Which law in Singapore tells you that being in the bus-stop means boarding the bus? It is rather being considerate to drivers by flagging the bus. If one thinks that there's not a need for flagging a bus, I should see all buses stopping at bus-stop at all times which in terms wasting time. And you guys will start complaining idiot drivers wasting your precious time. Does your hand weigh 100kg to raise up?

the purpose of flagging the bus is to let the BC stop for you to board. in my case the driver was rude. theres no need to scold. if by not flagging the BC have that common sense to understand i need to board the bus, theres no need to be scolding thereafter. its v unnecessary. otherwise, the BC if he is really that dumb he can just drive past me since he doesnt understand i want to board even if i am at the door.

yeh driver's rude. But then again, these guys are not highly educated right? I'm not saying that all are equally rude, there are much better ones of cos. Anyway, if some BC asks me to flag, even if in a rude manner, so be it man. It's my fault and I should have flagged anyway.

In fact, sv315 has all along been like that at North Ave 1 bus stop since the NAC (AMDEP) period, but it's best to flag when you're alone, or the bus stop with two or more services. Just a few days ago, a commuter who didn't flag for the bus early at North Ave 4 bus stop nearly miss the bus, he flag only when he realise the bus isn't stopping for him, the brake was hard...

ok..abit weird idea. maybe have the ts wear the route number ts want to board as a large signboard on his head. then no need to stand up and flag le. BC will see if the route number is their route number then stop for him...

Not elitist my fren, I'm just stating a general fact. People who are more educated have a higher chance of being socially apt as their work requires it.

Of cos to clarify, i have seen my fair share of chirpy bus drivers who have a good sense of EQ.
