In Wikipedia, SysOps mean administrators.

in a bid to combat vandalism, we are moving on to managed perm list. which means, eventually, only sysops will be able to make changes to the list on sgwiki.

you may proceed to protect any pages as you move along; the protection should apply to sysops only.

^tamago^ SG

new sysops will only be nominated internally, to users who are actively managing the list and will need these privileges. (:

let the current batch of syspos stabilise first. there cannot be too many syspos, it'll be as good as none.

SBS n SMRT SG

i could now still edit perm list,

^tamago^ SG

most pages should be protected by now…

ZYX2005 SG

good move but radical.

hope the bus list in there turns out healthhy in time...for us to use wisely

Sysops folks: I expect you to update the changes on redeployment thread like u still do now. Can track the lovely changes u all make in the sgwiki.

Hope they will update the sgwiki regularly. Pros and cons come in when only certain nominated people can edit. So im counting on them.

Simple_boi SG

Change deployment status after it has been taken effect.

Including the ads and some issue like the refurbished red duct on the various DD.

^tamago^ SG

we will definitely need ppl to post these observances on the threads here for the sysops to take action.

actually one thing here is that, the power is given to these group of people in recognition of their constant effort and time to update the wiki all these years. (:

For me, to be fair to all. I suggest to allow access to more member. For that, member would need to sign up with the admin to gain access. I think that would had at least better control. Efforts are not recongized if they are not allow to make amendment themselves.

so who is paramedic?
btw, if want to update SGwiki, pls remember to update the relevant sections as well. If change one perm status to SP, then the spare buses section must be updated. It seem like some time updates are mainly at the main section and then forget abt the rest..
