History of Service 170

Hi everyone i'm new here. I love to joyride on all bus services. My favourite one is service 170 from Queen Street -> Larkin, which is a cross-boder service. May i know when is this service introduce & the history of this service? Cos AFAIK, this service is the only sg-jb public bus service since 60s, am i right? If wrong do correct me. TY.

I only know that is the last svc to have this was farecard thinky plus the only bus svc to have the most bus fleets...

late 1970s to early 80s - mercedes benz coach looking OF1413s
middle 80s to early 90s - TMO o9peration with conductor handing out colourful SBS newer style bus tickets - fleet used B57s

early 90s to middle 90s - Volvo B10M mark IIs. Conductor still ard till 1997. hence SBS conductor series tickets i have a lots.
late 90s to new millennium - Mark 3 - no more conductor onbaord. Normal issuing ticket style.

Oh, no wonder that i saw a map of 1950 Singapore that shows a bus depot near Bukit Timah Railway Station.
