actually bendybus can take more passengers, double deck upstairs
cannot stand also. or is that not true?
Comparing the stated limits...
Vo3x batch 1: seats 93 + stands 38 = total 131
Vo3x batch 2: seats 92 + stands 38 = total 130
Vo3x batch 3: seats 84 + stands 55 = total 139
O405G habit: seats 59+ stands 73 = total 132
O405G volgren: seats 59 + stands 73 = total 132 (none on
190...just for comparison's sake)
O405G mk1: seats 54 + stands 89 = total 143
O405G mk2: seats 59 + stands 73 = total 132
So I wonder if its the human problem or the bus problem on 190,
obviously the bendy sits and stands more on all counts (save for
vo3x batch 3s)...I believe you can squeeze more on the bendy too,
hence more passengers, whereas on a double deck you can't...
:\
I really doubt SBST can do better if it were handed over
back to them. Take into account the dramatic population
increase over the last few years since 190 was handed to
TIBS/SMRT...of course our buses seem more packed now and SBS/SBST
would have seem to have done better...
