In terms of ZF gearbox models, those ending with 4 are for EURO
V buses right?
eg: Zf6HP604CN is a for an EURO IV or V bus.
thats what i meant, these newer models of gearboxes for more
stringent EURO IV and V buses. Since the OC500LE is an EURO V bus
it would be using a ZFXHPXX4 model.

Er.. i dunno know what Ecomat 4 means... It sounds like some
extra feature in the Zf4HPXX4 gearboxes types...which i gather from
your reply OC500LEs dunt have..whatever it is...
ZF made several incarnations of the Ecomat transmission.
The first few variants were the '0' series for everything from
pre-Euro emissions engine to Euro 2 engines. Then came Euro
2/3 with CAN bus communication which required a redesigned
transmission and thus the Ecomat 2 was released. The Ecomat 4
was a further development to match Euro 4/5 engines and now the
Ecolife is an entirely new development for Euro 5/EEV engines.
