Further updates I obtained:
The new JB CIQ Complex will be opened on
2/12/08.
However, the new JB CIQ complex will just be a
passing-through venue. Passengers and vehicles arriving or
departing Malaysia will still have to use the old
checkpoint.
No boarding and alighting shall be carried out at the
new CIQ complex.
The new routing will apply on the direction towards Pasar Bakti
for 160, 170X & 950 and Larkin for 170.
As for vehicles (including SBST & SMRT buses) coming back to
Singapore, they need not pass through the new CIQ complex.
Instead the current routing will be used (i.e. Jln Tun Abdul Razak)
to access the current checkpoint.
The new bus stop 47701 outside JB Sentral will be for svc
160, 170X & 950 towards Pasar Bakti. Buses returning to
Singapore will not stop at the bus stop.
The new JB CIQ complex targetted date of commencement of
operations is set on 5 Jan 2009.
