SBS 8448R (if I remember correctly) on sv. 174 broke down along
Jurong Road, towords Boon Lay, yesterday at 11:10 PM. There
was a rumbling noise from the engine and the bus refused to
accelerate. When the BC stopped, the engine cut out and the whole
bus plunged into darkness. Engine coudn't restart. Pax, myself
included, were quite annoyed and there was a general grumbling. The
BC seemed to be taking forever to drive the bus and it was late in
the night, not to mention at a gloomy, deserted place. Luckily, the
next bus arrived in just 5 minutes. Yeah! Good 'ol Leyland
Olympian! Hope the BC didn't have too wait too long for the
recovery truck. :-P
