Just a small question here.

For this bus, is the kneeling function automatic or does the Service Leader activate the function via the dashboard?

Thanks in advance.

Manaully operated via a switch on the dash.

Dave

i know that.. That why i have pointed that there is a difference in the bus ad. And i think the ad on the new Merc might be amended before it is on the road.

I believe it might be an exception to the 30% rule due to, more importantly, the launch campaign, and less importantly due to it being a non-commercial advertisement.

Agreed, the only other bus which I can think of having a full body ad was 9611D, a full body Harry Potter ad except for the windscreen, the ad was removed when it returned back to regular service (it did a chartered shuttle).

It's slated to be out tomorrow.. but all seems quiet..

Yes, the silence is deafening….

It was out on the papers yesterday. A friend of mine alerted me about it. Well, busspotting madness tomorrow i guess?

^tamago^ SG

Which paper?

sinicker SG

Which paper?

He said Straits Times

He said Straits Times

I think that's more like the article on the lack of drivers and the daily job scope of a bus driver. Nothing on OC500LE.

The new bus is not even registered yet...

The new bus is not even registered yet...

Found this line in the press release of SMRT dated 30 April..

"Southeast Asia’s first Euro V bus on the roads on 14 May".

Looks like it's either a surprise.. or a change in plan..

BTW, what is a hub reduction axle?

Can't find, not even were there adverts. Which page?

The 2 headines are:
Condo won't prune trees over MRT tracks - Branches deemed safety hazard, but condo won't foot bill
Shortage of bus drivers expected to worsen - Operators, unions to rebrand job to make it more attractive (contents did not mention about WAB bus)

no show?

^tamago^ SG

no show… all depots negative.

The EDS is super small just like TIB595H side EDS, but placed on the top just like CAC O405 Merz instead of the bottom like any other OAC O405 Merz... In sv966's photo, you should be able to see the side EDS ba? Else... I shall contribute mine here too...

SMRT only knows how to buy transport uses and never think of drivers lol.Less Bus Driver. A lot of MRT Driver. A Lot of taxi driver .No One wants to be a SMRT Driver when you grow up and you have the chance of this ambition .People rather be ComfortDelgro's Bus driver rather than SMRT.SMRT looks comfortable. SBST's aircon duct is more stronger,so colder although BC Seat not comfortable.I want to drive K230UB when I grow up.
