questions about premium buses

hi i have a few questions about premium buses;

- do they use ezlink card or cash to pay?

- am I guaranteed to get a seat?

- does the driver stick strictly to the pickup points or will he pick up people along the way until the bus is full?

- any bus goes through upper thomson road (near thomson plaza) towards shenton way?

2. Yes. No Standing Allowed, if the bus if full than the driver will have to skip the bus stop.

3. The driver must pick up commuters from all the bus stops for that premium service until there is no more seats.

4. 162 brings you to shenton way from upp thomson rd (opp thomson plaza bus stop)

3. No. Only bus stops that the premium service stops at. Bus captains are not allowed to make a detour to serve other commuters.

4. Ya, no premium. 162 brings you to Shenton Way Terminal and 167 Shenton Way(road) only.

What list? They can only call at the designated bus stops.

I think he meant the list of bus stops the premium service should call at.

sorry the reason I ask is because I was at this busstop waiting for my bus 167 and a couple of premium buses stopped and picked up people. i'm pretty sure this busstop is not on any of the official bus stops (it's a few bus stops before thomson plaza if you are coming from ang mo kio).

so are there "unofficial" premium bus routes?
