Between Tampines and CCK, there's 67. From Bedok to Bt Batok, there's 66 and Express 506. So it's not really that bad actually, though it's true that there isn't a link from Hougang to Bt Panjang/CCK/Bt Batok.

Provide the following links.
Hougang to Boon Lay direct.
Improve the links in Corporation Dr areas.
Link between Corporation Dr and Bukit Timah though there is 154 at Yuan Ching Rd
Provide the smallest number of fare stages from Hougang or Upper Serangoon Rd to Clementi (around 28 stages). Hence in my opinion, it is faster than 165 from Hougang to Clementi.
Fare stages of around 41 in total.
Mainly I use routes of 80, 151, 154, and 30 to calculate the fare stage.

Existing bus routes that duplicates with his the most: 151
From MacPherson Rd to Clementi Rd plus 151 provides a link from Hougang to Bukit Timah and Ngee Ann Poly and SIM area.

Ang Mo Kio to Jurong East
Ang Mo Kio Ave 1 and Boundary Rd to the west areas (currently only 105 and 156 provides the link to Jurong East and Clementi at Boundry Rd)
Upper Paya Lebar Rd, Bartley Rd to the west (Currently no services provide a direct link to the west)
Provide a link from Potong Pasir and Woodleigh to the west (147 provides up till Clementi)

Around 35 stages in total.
I use 24, 93, 147, 142, 985, 174, 187, 176 to calculate the estimates fare stages.
First part of route duplicates with 22 and especially 24. Second portion of the route duplicates with 985 a lot but many parts of this route lies in the expressway

Hmm...not a bad idea. As you mentioned, it improves links between CCK, BPJ, Ubi, Hougang and also Toa Payoh.

But I would like to make some changes to the routes.

Suggestion A:
Between Stage 20 and 21 (Direction 1) and Stage 15.5 to 16.5 (Direction 2), extend to Lorong 2 Toa Payoh and Lorong 1 Toa Payoh so that:

Direction 1: Jalan Toa Payoh > Lorong 2 Toa Payoh > Lorong 1 Toa Payoh > Lorong 6 Toa Payoh
Direction 2: Lorong 6 Toa Payoh > Lorong 1 Toa Payoh > Lorong 2 Toa Payoh > Jalan Toa Payoh

Suggestion B:
Between Stage 23 and 26 (Direction 1) and Stage 11 to 12.5, extend route so that it passes by Bidadari Cemetry and factories at Kallang Way.

Direction 1: Jalan Toa Payoh > Upper Serangoon Road > Upper Aljunied Road > Macpherson Road > Genting Lane > Tannery Road > Kallang Way > Aljunied Road > Merpati Road
Direction 2: Mattar Road > Aljunied Road > Kallang Way > Lorong Bakar Batu > Macpherson Road > Upper Aljunied Road > Upper Serangoon Road > Bendeemer Road > Whampoa North > Serangoon Road > Jalan Toa Payoh

Suggestion C:
Between Stage 28.5 and 29 (Direction 1) and Stage 7.5 and 8 (Direction 2), extend route so that connectivity between Kaki Bukit, Bedok Reservior and CCK residents is improved. However, partial route duplication may occur.

Direction 1: Ubi Avenue 2 > Kaki Bukit Avenue 1 > Bedok Reservior Road > Eunos Link
Direction 2: Eunos Link > Bedok Reservior Road > Kaki Bukit Avenue 1 > Ubi Avenue 2

What do you think? Which suggestion (can pick more than one) will you go for?

not a bad service.... to go east cck resident juz need to take this and transfer 506 at jln typ without turning round and round in bukit batok with 985.. somemore it can share the student crowd with 190 in the morning.... the teckwhye area

this is going to be dam crowded with students and workers....
i believe this bus can reach typ faster than train from cck

Would be better if there could be more express sectors like continue using PIE until paya lebar rd before serving ubi then hougang. If not 985 or 966 -> 151 or 154 could do the job alr

and for your info, whenever u take a bus from end to end or from somewhere to a terminating place, pls look carefully at the card reader. it always ends off with a whole number w/o a decimal. but, basically, quite a good one. good job!

Can take 86 to Ang Mo Kio Ave 3 Blk 700B. Cross the road and trasnfer to 74 to SIM HQ.

Or u can take 163 to Upper Thomson Rd B02 bus stop after the junction between Marymount Lane and transfer to 74.
