* Service may be amended to the new Joo Koon Terminal once
it opens via Upp Jurong Rd, Benoi Rd, Joo Koon Rd.
Service links Tampines, Toa Payoh and Jurong at a faster travel
time for those who prefer to get a seat on a bus than
to squeeze on a train.
Service provides quick links for students from Tampines,
Toa Payoh and Jurong to and from Temasek Poly, Catholic JC and
Jurong JC.
Services links IMM to Jurong West which is
currently untapped by revenue bus routes besides 502.
End to end: 1 hour 40mins. Break 12-20mins. Meal 25mins.
Tampines - Lakeside 50mins.
Lakeside - Tuas 50mins.
I think the stretch of Tampines Ave 5 from interchange to SAFRA
Tamines is pampered with lots of trunk services. 10, 15, 21,
23, 39, 65, 67.
This service has only quite a handful of bus stops at
Tampines, Toa Payoh. In addition, it doesn't go to Boon Lay
interchange but to Jurong West town where passengers can make
transfers from there to more places like NTU, NIE where
service 20 doesn't cover or even the industrial estates at
Jurong. I think this service has a plus point because it
provides a faster link from Tampines to Toa Payoh as compared
to service 8 and to Jurong West. Demand has to be heavily relied at
Tampines interchange, the 2 bus stops at Toa Payoh
and Jurong West areas.
