Question:
Source A:
In mid-2007, SBS Transit
purchased 500 K230UBs[1]
at a cost of S$180
million, as part of its scheme to replace its aging Volvo B10M MK
II fleet and compliance with the new Euro 4 emission
standards set by local authorities.[2]
The single-deck buses are wheelchair
accessible and differ from the Volvo B9TLs
operated by SBS Transit as they have 2 wheelchair bays. They are
also fitted with 6-speed ZF
automatic transmission as well as electronic destination signage,
and bodied by Gemilang Coachworks of Malaysia. The
first units have already been delivered and are in service, and the
introduction of these buses are expected to continue for another 2
to 3 years as the buses are built up and readied for service.
Source B:
Scania K230UB on feeder service 238:

Source C:
These buses have a bumper issue in Singapore, causing some
places to be "non-K230UB friendly". The Bus captain will have to
know when to raise the bumper. If they are put on short haul or
feeder services, the Bus Captains will have less places to remember
to raise the bumper.
