Wow. GTR and SL500. I think you are comparing the wrong cars? If i'm not wrong, the SL500 cost alot more than the GTR. The GTR is around 300k while the SL500 is ard 400k or more. That's 100k difference. If you are really that loaded, why don go for R8? Since the price is half a million. Almost same price range as the SL500.

it's like this. you dont buy a Trueno ae86 because it's really a drift icon and you want to turn heads. you gotta know this that, the inside out, why this why that. petrol etc. plan far ahead.

No offence man, but the cars are quite a bit different, it's like comparing apple and oranges. Seeing as you seem to be someone who doesn't know too much about cars, do you think you'd be able to handle the power and speed of the GT-R?

SL500. Usually best to save up to get the more expensive car so as they are usually the better ones in any car simulation game

GT-R any time man. Its a monster on the road and the SL500 is a no match for it. The GT-R is a value for money consider the pirce you pay for it in exchange for the GT-R. SL500 is not worth it, you should rather buy a R8 instead. But i really dont think you need to drive such a high performance cars on Singapore Roads. Why not get a Luxury Sedan instead.

I think it would be better if you could list out what you want out of your car. Superiority seems like a vague term IMO...as in superiority in what? Raw power? Looks? Driving comfort? Value for money? After-sales servicibility?

If you can be more specific in your needs, more people can help you...

The SL is what one would call a 'grand touring car', tuned more for comfort, and it is meant to take on the Maserati GT, Jaguar XK and BMW 6 series.

GT-R is an out-and-out junior supercar which competes with the likes of the F430 and 911 Turbo (although the former is much cheaper).

They're very different, so think about which you want more. Given the vagueness and noobness of your post, that's all I can say. Your insurance premiums may kill you though.

Insurance is a issue... and monthly payment and road tax etc......

will cost quite alot too... and those 2cars are really... different in style, how can you compare?

I take Mercedes SL500.Some things just cannot compete with Mercedes,master of luxury cars.

PS:Do hold on buying the Mercedes SL-Klass,as the facelifted version is coming.

Its alright, will post when i got my ride. For sour grapes, dont get too sensitive when ppl asking for a 280k-440k cars instead of a 70k ride.

if u are comparing an SL with a 6 series... then perhaps... pple wld have taken u seriously...

the way u phrase it definately doesnt sound like a serious buyer of cars.. .much less a successful person who can afford that sort of car...
