I notice you like to base your comments on theory
alone.
Nothing wrong. But actually how and when the gearbox changes gear
depends on how the gearbox is tuned. No such thing as the gearbox
will "know what to do".
To add on, just look at the different variations of the ZF4s in
SMRT and SBST. Some lock-up at 1st, others 2nd, some are tuned
tight, others loose.
