566117 SG I think it is unnecessary to have good sulight/good angle to take a "good" bus picture. Why are some pics "bad" bcos of "bad angle" or "bad sunlight"? (unless it is blur or too many obstructions) At least there was effort put in to take those pictures. Sunlight: What is so bad about dim conditions? What is the point of seeing the sunlight shine on a particular portion of the bus? Angle: A bus is so big. There are so many different angles to take a picture. What is the point of seeing bus pictures from only two angles? Well, this is just my opinion and you can ignore it if you wish.
^tamago^ SG I'd believe you should take pride in what you take and show the best. How you select your photos is up to your discretion but hopefully you don't turn this into a photo dumping ground with lots and lots of pictures that people will only glance through or even just close simply because there are too many photos flooding your screen and nothing outstanding. That was the problem we had with previous series.
Oceane SG Well I'm not a photography expert but I think the reason why sunlight is one of the "main ingredients" is because without sunlight the picture would look very dull. For angle I'm not sure, but I've tried taking pictures at different angles before and 45 degrees seems the best to me.
SBS 9631X SG Actually a better thing would be to note down places that you pass by with good sunlight, the timing n location spotted and the angle wise if possible. I tried this a couple of times and my observations does help me in my pic-taking in a way.
n4l SG Can do something like a compiled photo gallery hosted somewhere and you can upload all the pics you took and let people rate them . And its definietly neater than 5 threads (and counting).
TIB433S SG I haven't been posting here for a long time, so here's an old picture. SBS337E on 135 (25 November 2007)
TIB1049L SG According to me the grains seems to be more of the Adjusting Sharpness feature in the photoshop rather than the camera itself
SBS8043A SG might nt neccessary b da megapix tingy...neither fotoshop...it shd b sumting 2 do w da iso value...
Simple_boi SG No offence to Y_Shun.. Just using an example.. So.. Do you preferOriginally posted by Y_Shun: [b] OR This??
TIB433S SG Yeah it is using photoshop. The original is quite dark. so i added abit of saturation and abit of contrast and shart sharpened it abit.
demag_ac SG Opps, sorry, don't know what's wrong with imageshack. Let me try again. It was SBS 3703L on Svc 7.
TWS4793 SG Seriously, I find that Simple_boi's photo is better. In terms of angle... Y_Shun: Some parts of the side of the bus is shown, however, the angle is not quite good. Simple_boi: Better angle. In terms of light source... Y_Shun: Photo probably suggested that it was a rain shot, however, location is wrong. Simple_boi: Better location, since Sims Drive is not vastly covered by shelter. There's no offence in the remarks to Y_Shun. We all want to help each other achieve better photos of buses. You can also do the same. Cheers. Today's weather isn't quite good, but I'm on a trial to test out phototaking in the rain. 12 December 2007, Wednesday SBS 8072R on Service 64 SBS 9677P on Service 64
