Scania N113CRB luver SG Saw this really old video , filmed and directed in Hong Kong i think , which highlights the special "bendy bus" that singapore has at that time. In one part of the video , the commentator recommends bus fans to take this bus , since it meant a new experience . Some of the highlights are : SBS9888Y , new new at the time of filming . TIBS days . I really miss those days. Look at their fresh paint . TIB1038T . TIBS (then) 100th bendy . Video : http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RYevx1Hfpl8&feature=related
TIB1224Y SG TIBS were the pioneers in much of the newer things, now, SBS Transit has taken over this role and it must be said tt, SMRT ate TIBS and made a much darker future... SMRT's new bus, where is it?
Scania N113CRB luver SG Sekali SMRT's reply was " still on the papers" Anyway the main topic is that Singapore should really create a video that's similar to the link i gave .
ZYX2005 SG well u need some budget. get the franchise to that video series leows then start filimng. get the camera equipment, the lighting, the commentators. lols. director also. ba shi mi yao Bus fan 1 - singapore ZYX
tintinspartan SG I longed miss the days of the vibrant Yellow TIBS BC Uniform Actuallly, Habits WERE Eye Candy in 2000 when they were intorduced. I loved taking rides on them and I remembered my first ride onboard one of them on 187. It was a thrill. My first Bendy Ride was a Mk2 bendy BTW
SBS3625D SG 9888Y and the tridents and the 20th century SDs (1688, 288 and the MKIV DM3500 were the eye-candy of the early 2000s. Along with the Habits. But then TIBS fleet at that time were mostly eye-candy too.
HyuugaNeji SG Tibs long vehicles bus move fucking slow because its fucking too long. There's not enough seats and many person are standing and being squeezed side by side like sardines. Double deckers bus FTW anytime.
Oceane SG I doubt so for it's speed. Capacity wise yes, but speed-wise no. Bendies are known to chiong due to both types of gearboxes, be it Voith or ZF.
SBS7484P SG man, VSO looks hawt in sbs old livery, especially the ‘forward arrow’ like paint for the then low floor DD’s, like 9888 and tridents
HyuugaNeji SG Not many of those bendies have the luxury to cruise at expressway or long straight roads without traffic lights. Lets not forget most drivers dare not to drive fast or they prefer to drive slowly so the acceleration difference hardly matters. And because the buses are so freaking long, all the drivers take so long to move off from their bus stops and also took so long to make a left/right turn.
Volvo Olympian SG Yeah , those special buses have special SBS livery then , and the arrow is i think for low floor DD , the tridents and 9888.
nenepokey SG i'd took a bendy that travelled at 70km/h to 75km/h. it's TIB1112L when it cameoed on 969 some time ago, plus it's along Gambas.
