lemon1974 SG i dun mind no seat if i take MRT from AMK to Orchard.. further, for 577, i dun think it is worth it also. the express journey is so short from CTE (AMK Ave 1) to Scotts Road (the stretch that is known to be having jam alway).
sBs_boy SG Seriously.. This time round, Thay are targetting at those who takes the taxis. Providing them with a better alternative. With the sharp rise in cab fares, i will not be surprise if the load is very healthy for the City Shopper routes.
lemon1974 SG maybe weekday get SD, weekend get DD? for 577, might be getting crossover bus from Sv 70? 72 ? 13? 76? might be Sv 70.
^tamago^ SG he already said 'what if crossover from a SD service', where the DD's is gonna come from? anyway 576's crossover service has DD's but i dun think DD's will be deployed.
chickenlittle2 SG Sorrie maybe I nv make myself clear enough.. I mean for sure they need to get buses from a DD service..
carbikebus SG Smart like Premium services also.SMRT ones start next year but different location of course..
^tamago^ SG well, what if the x-over service is already a SD service? in fact one of them draws buses from an airport service.
Y_Shun SG You might not get seats in NEL, but at least you got a space to stand and breathe normally. Not packed like sardines.
ahdibuao SG I wonder why SBS didn’t let it run during peak hours on weekdays. If it did, many officer workers working in Orchard or Suntec area could take the bus home, instead of squeezing in the MRT….
^tamago^ SG 1. Non-compliance with the PBS guidelines as it would duplicate the Rapid Transit System at comparable fares. Same thing for Chinatown Direct. PTC and Govt will always encourage you to take trains no matter how crowded they are because they are the so-called "backbone" of the public transit system. 2. The buses used are deployed from peak hour only buses from other services which would have been idle at the depots during off-peak hours.
