the other time STN/ SGEMP open a thread abt having no friends in school and spending his recess in the classroom alone. frankly speaking u remind me of him. obviously others may think ur hobby is weird or sth. if thats the case then talk to them abt other stuff, ur life doesnt just revolve around buses & trains. if they are not reminded abt ur special hobby they might be more willing to associate with u normally. more than 99% of my schoolmates are not enthusiastic abt buses and i dont talk to them abt things like possible fleet deployments of new K230UB. in fact most of them dont even know abt my hobby. one exeption is nenepokey who is my schooolmate and from the same CCA. its good to have someone to talk to in real life abt bus stuff,but theres a lot more other interesting stuff to talk abt anyway. if u talk to ur schoolmates abt other things they (hopefully) might forget abt ur special hobby and be more willing to accept u as an equal.

Yeah I agree, if they see me at interchanges staring at buses and ask me what I doing, I just say I'm watching buses. They find it a bit strange, but then next day like all forget, back to normal stuff.

I also have interests in Halo Games. But STN is somesrot of lonely at school but when we invite him for KTM Railway Fan Club Outings, he speaks up including the time when we both met and we talked about things that we both share in common. I mean, he's a good friend to have. Remember that he is now studying Biomedical Science.

For me, it is definitely a big NO. Cos I just only treat bus as 1 of my hobbies/interests. Moreover, bus captains also don't earn a lot, and hence, I would really like to venture into something which is really of great interest and at the same time, earn a higher amount of income... ^^

Hmmm... Try to take up any sports as 1 of your interests too... I'm sure that your classmates would also do at least a sports like soccer or basketball ba.... Or other sports like cycling also can... =) It is healthy and at the same time, get to socialize more with other people from different walks of life.. Or some other interest other than sports also can... That will really benefit you a lot =)

I tried to talk about them about Halo 1, 2, 3 and a few eventualy made friends with me including this geek that the class always laugh at. Next Year, my freinds are in a different class and I only have a girl to talk to. She's an artisitc student and we both share the same things in common.

no. i study in a rather infamous sch. there is one infamous forumnite who spammed alot mid last year, whom everyone hates (incl me), who studies in the same sch as me. i cant and wont reveal my sch for personal reasons. but i can tell u that my pri sch is the closest sch to the HQ of my CCA organisation

Very straight forward and unhypocritical.

I don't spot buses, but I have interest on the technical aspect of the buses as I'm working in a German automotive engineering MNC. Even though I don't take public transport.

Everyone will have a hobby. I find my colleagues who are obsessed with golf boring. They can spend one whole weekend in JB trying to conquer the golfcourse. Stay overnight and try to correct their mistake and re-do it again the next day. I find it a waste of money and boring. What's so nice about trying to get a ball so small into a slightly bigger hole in a big plot of land. But to my friend it is an attractive sports which trains and test an individual's patience and thinking capacity.

I enjoy motorsports. Riding my bike or drive my car in the race circuit. Going round and round trying to beat my previous lap with a faster timing, trying to overtake the next guy I can see at the same time prevent the guy behind from overtaking me. Some people find it stupid running around in circles. Wasting tyres and fuel trying to see who's faster. But I find that it is an attractive sport whereby one's endurance towards pressure & capability to think in the midst of speed and pressure is brought to the test.

So everybody views beauty differently. One needs to fathom the beauty of the activity in order to appreciate it. Otherwise, it is just a waste of time to that person.
