I wouldn't recommend taking video or sound recordings right at
the rear of a bus, reason being, if you are at the rear, the engine
sound would cover the transmission sound. At the same time, if you
are too front, the engine sound would be too soft to be heard, such
that you only get the transmission sound, therefore, the best place
to take such recordings is actually between the rear door and the
rear axle or above the rear axle, where you get a balance of
engine, transmission and axle sounds.
