The express bus leaves every 30mins at clock face :00 and :30, but again, only a rough guide

This service, I have took with my family before, in Dec 2004 Malaysia trip.

It is ran by Transitlink and probably on one bus (hence its awfully long waiting time). It is a loop service given the arrangement of roads at Ayer Hitam, and its nature to reverse and turnaround at the foot of Bukit Bendera (in front of the Penang Hill Tramway Terminus).

Also, at the Ayer Hitam stop, it is NOT a terminal. It is just a roadside stop, with no staff or shelter to shelter us from the scorching heat as we waited for the sv8.

Finally, when it came, the bus looked dilapidated (with aircon though), with no proper placards. (Information only written on the carboards, not the plastic desto.)

And when we boarded the bus, not many passengers were onboard. (Maybe only my family were the only passengers then.)

Also when it was dark, there may not be a sv8 bus taking us down from the foot of Bukit Bendera (the Penang Hill Tramway) to the nearest connection for Georgetown at Ayer Hitam. (In this case, we took a minibus Bas Mini at nearby bus stop directly back to the KOMTAR.)

Took sv22 today to Jusco again..
so bad luck.. met the young malay driver who demand RM2.10 for 3 times in 6 occasions.. wth Laughing . so today i paid him RM2.10 without fuss
oh, and his bus arrives at City Square at 1220pm (1224 on the bus clock).

Return trip, was quite pleasant.. took Triton 507A.. bus looks so welcoming, but alamak.. seats got no cushion.. suprised about this, but fare only RM1.80. This bus used Jln Tun Abdul Razak. Stopped at KOMTAR to let ppl alight.

Seems theres only one bus for 507A, and one or two for 507. no wonder always so difficult to board 507.

Also, saw sv39 on a orange CityBus.
And saw Transitlink 188 alighting passengers at the now-defunt Caltex bus-stop next to KTM, then went to join the traffic jam to the customs before turning right at the end of the traffic queue.

Looks like the route of entering JB town for the East side buses is still not standardised yet, keke.

Citybus is a division of Transit Link, sometimes there's one Dennis Lance with Transit Link red and white body used to serve 39.

If I am not wrong, the seats with cushion, has a small QC sticker behind every seat and indicates that the seats are produced in China.

yeah, it is. 507A ends at Permas jaya, 507 ends at Kota Masai.

only the Senai Express goes near city square (kota raya). According to PJ_Quek, 207 goes to the city centre specially on mornings.

something i get it... last week i went JB took 168 to woodlands and then took 950 alighted at JB checkpt when i got down, the ez link machine appeared a " Ride suspended" message. So how do i know whether they have deducted the correct fare?? Surprised

Anyone knows where in JB can i buy very delicious and nice Tambun Biscuit? their hometown is Penang, but its not feasible to go there and buy at the moment. (can give directions also?)

The "local product" shops in City Square and tun aminah shopping centre is disappointing.

Those nicer ones from Penang got a "heang" or xiang behind.

I found them at the seafood restaurant next to the Gelang Patah bus interchange. I don't know if those are Him Heang brand, but they are nice. And snapped up eagerly by many customers dining there.

It's easy to locate the seafood restaurant, especially on weekend nights as it's filled with people - both locals and tourists. Most "happening" place in the central town, I'd say.

indeed..

today i went to Holiday Plaza, in search of the promising "tambun biscuit". first of all, waited for 180 for 50 minutes!

At the local product shop, didnt saw any good "tambun biscuit" brands.. they were same as those at City Square, but slightly cheaper. when returning, waited for 10mins for 180 (same bus).. lucky..

saw an other 180 (CityBus). can conclude theres only 2 buses of 180.

during the 50 minutes wait, saw 2 of 507A, none of 22, none of the kampong bus, and lots of Larkin - Bandaraya no-number buses, lots of Masai buses, 3 of S&S Tiram svcs etc. seems S&S frequency quite good.
