I have to agree with you on that, SMRT is all talk and no action. Let's just hope that the upcoming LTA Review Results release in December will make radical changes to the structure of Public Transportation in Singapore.

But if it really happens that SMRT takes the MRTs and SBS takes the buses, it would be back to square as in 1981. No TIBS even. So, it will be a largely monopolized industry, and it seems very unlikely that the government would do this because "competition is the way to go"

5 mins for a North bound train is the norm. Irregular peak freq (one day 2 mins, another day 4 mins) is also the norm.

bukit panjang extension isnt that long to affect ... besides juz by serving bp itself it benefits cck area and teckwhye people to use 966... boosting LRT as well

Only regular riders would understand that with the new extension (5-10min extra) ridership on 966 increased.

On peak hours, look at how many ppl alight at BP area, leaving the bus quarter empty.
