as for coach right, its even harder. basic idea is to look for radiator grilles. if dun have might be mark 3 coach. if have could be Mark 4 coach.

There are Mark 4 coaches i think . I've seen one coach in which the chassis layout is very similar to the MK4s . I've seen a MK2 (or maybe 3) coach too , in SG.

All Mark IV have nearside radiator grilles. Mark II and III have front radiator grilles.

Mark III has square driver's window at offside, while Mk IV DM has an additional trianglular window below it.

Mark III uses older square side desto while Mark IV's all use long, rectangular desto's.

there is this Volvo B10M school bus coming to my neighbourhood every morning.... engine sounds like MK3, the front of the bus look something like MK4 Soon Chow....

my neighbourhood got 3 Volvo B10M school buses

i understand the diffrences bet mk III and IV but mk II CAC and mk III is hard to differentiate

the windows u must get used to the differences.

the front, Mk II has a windscreen divider at the middle while Mk III doesn't have. Mk II's radiator grilles and desto "black" area are thinner and wider as well.

behind, Mk II has three depressed lines at the top while Mk III does not have.

if in doubt, u can always see the rego. a 3-digit one is a Mk III while a 4-digit one is a Mk II.

Me add on:

1) The rear lights are a give-away, the MKII with horizontally-arranged lights and the MKIII's being vertical.

2) The presence of 3 covers on the roof of the MKIII for the ventilating fans (should be the function?). The MKII CACs lack that. Moreover I believe except for maybe 1714T (?), no other MKII CAC uses the Sutrak AC unit nor the Fuji one which the MKIIIs use.

3) The corners of the windows of the CAC MKIIs are curved because the ledges once accomodated sliding windows. The MKIII's is a 90 degree one.

4) And of course the noise they make, this one I don't think I need to describe to you. Wink
