manjieass SG i like smrt's merc which has the soft bell type.. especially 'door closing' chime.. ding dong ding dong ding dong.. hard to find liao.. all replaced by beep beep beeeeep beeeep beeeep..
chickenlittle2 SG For DD I saw, SBS 9214S in the upper deck(When u come up frm the stairs u can see it) had it For SD, alot... like.. SBS 3757G SBS 3783E SBS 3733A SBS 276Y <-- if I am nt wrong..
TWS4793 SG Same for SBS 3684H. Should be the old Sentosa Bell you're referring to. Other buses with special bell: SBS 0790D (293 BNDEP)
TWS4793 SG SBS 1991J also have a special bus stopping bell. It goes like this... In the bell, there are four variations of chimes, and all four are being sounded simultaneously, one variation of the bell and then another variation of the bell. I cannot make out the sound of the bell, but you might be interested in trying out this bus. The bus is on duty 23A/(don't know P shift duty code) for this week.
MingFreeman SG yes, some buses have that irritating chime. The poor bus driver has to tahan it throughout the journeys for each day for every day throughout the year
TWS4793 SG Don't think it is. Most of the Lances that I took have bus stopping chimes similiar to the typical chime that SBST use.
BluBlur SG There was the "authentic" chime in the 1st batch of 0405s. I don't know how to describe, but it's like a real mini bell hidden somewhere. There's a short echo after the chime too. Now replacements are back to those rude beepers. Can be very unlucky to sit below these new loud chimes that are exposed, pointing towards you.
nenepokey SG if u were to see me one day, i can make out all the sounds of the bells. imitation. can also imitate: SMRT Dennis Lance, MB O405, O405G, Scania L113CRL[both Strider and Oven(ELBO)] SBS Transit LO3x, MKIV(all series), VO2x, VO3x(all batches)
Scania SG Like I said, the original bell for Lances are "ding dong dong dong" (high to low pitch). Due to AMDEP replacing some of the bells, you would hear the "ding dong" bell on Lances.
muziq bus SG that was the original bell for DAFs as well. it sounded nicer....soothing rather than BEEP
