Sorry then, let me clarify
Basically there are several factors which bodybuilders have to
consider before they place the aircon on the bus:
1) Length of overhang (rear and front)
2) engine position
3) Chassis structure and weight (ie how much weight it can
take)
Basicallly for buses with rear engine and relatively short rear
overhang (like Dart and Olympians), the aircon can be placed at the
rear as the bus is less likely to lean to the rear than a bus with
a longer overhang (Physics: moments), also for these buses, the
front load may be acting as a counterweight.
However, for buses with a longer overhang, chances are that the bus
may lean to the rear if the air con is placed at the back. CNGs are
exceptions as the tank is also quite heavy.
