nenepokey SG when they introduce, they hav to get the approval of PTC and LTA, so that they can do the necessary things needed. same things happen when they want to withdraw the service. get the approval of PTC and LTA. if one approve and the other doesn't, still ok. coz got different reasonings on each side...but if both dun approve, then cam loh! both go against the bus company!
sBs_boy SG In the first place, it was the MP of that area who made noise citing that the residents there had lost a link to CCK and some other parts. SMRTB had no choice but to reintroduce 985W at that point of time.

nenepokey SG both can be possible. 1) with 985 and 985W, frequency doesn't seem to be better than b4 2) 985 and 985W onli split up into their different ways at the junction of BB West Ave 5 and BB road. then join back at junction of BB West Ave 7 and BB West Ave 4. difference of a few bus stop nia. 3) if the ppl(let's say at BB West Ave7) want a better frequency, he/she will have to go to the bus stop at BB West Ave4 to catch either bus. if both buses go at the same time, then too sway lor! but a gd thing abt the 2 services: if 985 and 985W frequency is 18-20 min for each service, then when 985 comes at x time, 985W will come in between x and x+20, which is abt x+8 to x+12, which cuts down the frequency at the places whr both services ply. but at BB West, it's the worst when they split and join back later. scarcely one BC chiong on the DAF(985W) and later catch up wif the UD(985). then chunk up liao.
