Yes. It is. It started service in 1973 as a Park and Ride Shuttle. It’s peak of it in operation is on the 1980s and 1990s. The new milemnum never gave CSS to shine as a historical monument. IT was withdrawn by SMRT Buses on 28th April 2007. The CSS fleet is deployed in SMRT now.

SMRT seems to have killed almost everything when it tooked over TIBS. Rolling Eyes

First the cute Hispano Box mascot by TIBS , now is the Volgren merc with no face.

Second , TIBS introduced new buses on a quicker basis . Ever since SMRT took over it , for 6 years there hasn't been any new buses being introduced.

Thirdly , TIBS maintains their buses a tad better than SMRT.

But at least they did smth abt their buses . Like refurbish some , replace handgrips etc.

Anyway , not introducing any new service is infact a good idea. Don't forget that SMRT has a bus shortage . Should they intro a new service , this service or another service is bound to suffer , poor freq. This will make plp shun this service. As a result , low demand. In the end , withdrawal .

CSS is City Shuttle Service. Even the logo is made up of the letters C, S and S.
