Pissed off with pest problems

Hello . You guys should have guessed it , its SMRT again . Rolling Eyes

Im quite pissed with the fact that , today is the third time i've taken a SMRT bus infested with roaches . First is TIB783G on 171 . My dad told me there was a roach crawling just inches beside me . I took out my slipper wanting to kill it , but it escaped .

Next is TIB793C on 176 . Thot a CAC Merc cameo on 176 would be a nice one , but i was astounded upon realizing the amount of litter on the bus. The bus is extremely filthy. At the exit doors area , there is a large transparent plastic bag . Some tissues , wrappers are there as well. Not only that , this bus is infested with 3 roaches , or even more. I killed 2 with my slippers . very disgusting. Another was a little tiny one crawling next to my legs. Mad Mad Mad

Today is the next one , TIB558R on 176. After sitting comfortably , i happened to look down and realize there is a 1cm big roachie crawling on the tissue next to me. So i decided to change seats . But then again , the fabric seats is so smelly that i couldn't stand the odour anymore and i change seats again.

Buses having litter problem couldnt be avoided if the people continue to litter . But what about pest?? Surely SMRT can do something about it . Having a roach crawling beside you isn't a nice experience. Neutral

Laughing I had to endure a 1 hour plus journey on 67 seating next to the cockroaches. I couldn't even change seats. The Rigid was packed to the brim.
That ride from Tampines to Upper Bukit Timah Road (NUS) was well, disgusting. Seeing cockroackes crawling on the seat infront of me and on the window panel beside me. Imagine my relief when my stop finally came. At least the next bus that I took to Ngee Ann Poly didn't have aircon nor cockroaches. Mr. Green

Luckily roachies spare WLDEP buses.

Well... one suggestion, if u are too free and want to make some noise...

Call 1800 336 8900 and have a nice chat with them.

Most of the time they can get the problems resolved, except when they simply cant bother to pick up the call.

If u cant be bothered to find out whats the number about, click here

Whos the real culprit?I see no point pest control come to depot every night do maintenance if some goondoos simply eat, drink and left the leftover beside the seat where no one can easy notice it,Worse if it spill at the fabric seats.Someone also complain at stomp that he saw insect egg which is pest poison that look like some egg.I says its attitude problem,Last week i've just
brainwash two kiddos for eating and spilling one of the hamburgers those goondoos ate. Those goodoos doesn't seem like an uneducated ones more like poly or jc students. Before more lame complain like this pls think carefully the whole picture inside your brain,Its ok that you anti-SMRTB but pls to a certain extend only.Plus they also hired 4-5 cleaners at night simply to double sweep the buses only.

I didnt say im anti-SMRT. Neutral I only anti-MRT , well , maybe not anymore , since i start to like trains. Embarassed

Hmm i got a question . What about those tissue paper that plp blow their snot into? They attract cockroaches as well ? Cuz these litters are the most common sight , followed by food wrappers.

Oh ya, i noticed that they not only double sweep the buses as well , they also mopped the bus with detergent i think. Took TIB725A one morning and i realized that its floor is mopped with some detergent water.

Anyway , if you do know , roaches can be incredibly strong . Once a big roach flew into my room and i sprayed it with alot of insecticide . It ran away quickly , and i lose sight of it . The next morning , my mum found the roach and its still alive and kicking. Shocked So maybe , SMRT can use a pesticide thats specially formulated to kill roaches effectively ? Cuz i noe that some insecticide aren't strong enough to kill them , altho those insecticide used in fogging are surprisingly strong enough to kill them.

And the thing is that , i dont mind if a bus is infested with roaches , i can just kill them with a step . But the thing is that , if alot of buses are infested with roaches as well , its beginning to look like a problem , dont you think so?

carbikebus SG

Cockroaches will come to any buses @ Depot at night,Worse if someone spill the food and the driver too late to sweep. For my style if happen i saw cockroaches during sweeping i will just kill them and swept away outside.

well it’s better to be pissed off then to be pissed on

patdog112 SG

i wonder why habit dont hav..? look carefully there are some PEST control sticker somewhere..? they hire someone to clean the habits?

TIB793C... 307 bus very dirty cos of students of my ex sec sch

Scania N113CRB luver SG

And wearing slippers will come in handy. Laughing

Oh btw , i realise that the roach seen by me , are black in colour , in contrast with dark brown colour for the common roach, the German roach. Different species eh?

carbikebus SG

Just whack it!

nenepokey SG

same prob to me on TIB 772 '?'(forgot the back letter) infested wif cockroaches.
my fri sit beside me and told got a nymph crawl on me, and it's on my back!
i think those CAC merc in KJDEP and AMDEP are infested since 307 are from KJDEP and 171 from AMDEP

patdog112 SG

when u encounter cocokroach the best is not to crush or kill it.. it will give out germs….

Scania N113CRB luver SG

So what do you improvise? Pick it up and throw it outside LIVE? Laughing Maybe killing it does release germs , but as long as theres no human contact with the affected area , your health wont be at risk.

patdog112 SG

leave it alone..?
