Eh have u tried the sv36 n SMRT190 combo,tfr at Orchard area, quite fast but nt recommended for week/weekend nights, i use this when i have 2 report back for ICT at Lim Chu Kang[nt 4getting further tfr to 975]

The other town with "E" services is Bt Batok.

190 is a express service that's charging basic fares Laughing

I doubt they will introduce one from BP since unlikely the speed can beat 190.

I hope they start one from Yew Tee though, ply through CCK and Bricklands Rd. Else Yew Tee residents are real pitiful having to rely heavily on feeders.

The pity extend to all residents staying in SMRT towns. Whereas residents in SBS towns have direct buses, residents in SMRT towns need to transfers.

As a result, they pay higher fare, incur longer journey time, and have to endure the hassle of transfers.

Well, I still think it would be better to see the situation after the new SMRT buses comes in.

I think with their current fleet size it would be hard for them to deal with the situation, esp with unpredictable road conditions on expressways.

Actually, I think 966 was meant to serve bp when it was first introduced. But there was only 1 entrance/exit from BKE to bp and its quite stupid to make a loop in bp. So the extension was made only after petir rd extended to join diary farm rd. Or else, it would probably use SLE/CTE and join PIE like 857. Why waste an extra 10 mins for that huge roundabout for the 2 extra stops along PIE. Its not like it serves a large part of wdl either before getting to BKE.

I think that new Petir Road was the best excuse to make 966 calls at BP
