Could someone confirm whether route 950 (towards Marsiling Terminus) was all stops to MacKenzie Road (current Little India station) then express to Whitley Road and then express to Woodlands Avenue 3?

I can't remember Rapidbus 700's stopping pattern, but vaguely recall it was all stops to WDL Ring Road/Avenue 3, then stopped only at Kranji MRT, all stops at Bt Panjang Road and then Raffles Town Club. Thereafter, I cannot recall.

RapidBus 700 also had other time-saving measures as well.

still remembered last time Sv162 dint serve Bishan Rd then going from SMRT Bishan depot to Bishan St 22 quite inconvenient. Even if u see Sv162 want to flag it down but BC wont stop Laughing

The traffic light sensor thing. Now cannot use, cos traffic light all not affected by radio frequencies.

why they change 700 back to a normal service?

cos they stopped the traffic lights transponder thingy? Laughing iirc they recycled them from those used for the bus arrival timing at orchard blvd and somerset the year before.

iirc the rapidbus name stuck but eventually it was removed.

1. Bus priority at traffic lights is discontinued (transponder).
2. Perennial request for passengers who can't bear to see a past run by and not stopping -- so in the end it became almost all stops and there's no point running limited stop anymore.

I believe you're referring to Transit Priority Scheme (TSP) which allows buses to receive green light earlier so that their waiting time at junctions are reduced.

In total, they limit the request for green light at four junctions only.

If the lights are green, it will stay green for 10 seconds more.
If the lights are red, it will turn green 10 seconds faster than it should.

The junction of Whitley Rd/Malcolm Rd (city-bound) is one of them.
