Deployment of Air Con buses on JIS

I also never see before any A/C buses on the JIS svcs before the recent amendment too.

Got the feeling that this is the 1st stage of mass redeployment of SBST bus services due to the fact that the Volvo MK2s including the NAC ones will be ending its lifespan soon. SBS1701E will be the 1st one to go, on 9th June this year Twisted Evil ...

TIB1018B SG

Very likely, they can just use back the same destos which were used on VO2x Mr. Green

TIB1018B SG

Should put LO3x on these 2 services too.

Scania SG

SDs also can use the LO2x desto mah.

I'm afraid that Airport Road might be too tight for the buses to u-turn, esp some parts are still closed for KPE construction?

stooper SG

Yeah, all JIS svcs have SD destos. You see them in use when the MK2s cameo. Laughing

lemon1974 SG

i think this will be the case..some VO2x might be transferred to BR90/94 and maybe AM 186 (since someone complained abt AM 186).

sbst275 SG

Airport Rd is near completion Mr. Green

SBS BUSES LOVER SG

maybe 0405 can also appear on JIS . ...
then the 179 X-over to 255 can be a lo3x , Vo3x or 0405

but it'll be cool to see a 0405 on JIS Mr. Green

samtlk SG

afaik 257 will be deploying ADDs.

A few possibilities :

O405s from 182 & VO2xs do 182 since 182 is labeled as "Non Air-Con" Trunk Service
AC buses formerly perm on SL-WAB Services
AC buses from SL-SP, former perm on any future SL-WAB Service

service_238 SG

well at least this solves the problem of having S154 VO2x to cameo on JIS service and get SP LOs

while S192 193 182 gets SD cameos from S154 S174, which their VO2x go to cameo in JIS services

Operations wise with aircon buses on JIS services, deployment wont be that rigid anymore.

This has been overdue ! Well for those staying in the west, do let us know if ever you see a B9TL on one of the JIE svcs !

Example only !

7356D on svc 249 (SL 51 ) Razz Razz

I am still waiting for a B9TL cameo on 179 !

BNDEP: Bedok , Tampines & Pasir Ris feeders 6 , 8 , 10 , 19 , 28 , 31 , 32 , 33, 35 , 37 , 38 , 68 , 81

AMDEP:70 , 72 , 76 , 135 , 136 ,125 , 186 , AMK Feeders

HGDEP: 82 , 83 , 101 , 103 , 107 , 109* , 112 , 113 , 132 , 153 , 158 , 161*

BRAM : 26 ,28 , 31 , 90 , 94 , 155 , 157

BBDEP: 74 , 165

ARBP : 10.

Those above services hv VO2x or NACs , except for 109 & 161 they may get it , but low chance.

BusSpeeder SG

huh? 70,72,76 is CAC or OAC. none of them has VO2x nor NACs. 135,136 as well. amk feeders only 265 have NACs. 165 used to have VO2x but was taken away. its A/C. 132 likewise.

ngjy22 SG

70, 136, they had LO2x, long time ago. 70 had VO2x too.
107 is last time, Serangoon time. NAC N113CRB, LO2x, VO2x.
I thought 8, 72, 76, 81, 83 are FACs?

Most services, now is FAC, will they make it back to PAC?

Now service 269 is a FAC, peak hours long queue at AMK Int, DDs may be needed, if they could deploy VO2x.

TIB1049L SG

dun think there would be any chance sbst would put NAC or VO2X on 161. They dun wan to look more rundown than SMRT UDs

BusSpeeder SG

269 do not need any DDs, as long as they put 1-2 more buses in it and most likely they won't deploy VO2x on 269 since there is none of these in AMDEP, unless they deploy B9TL on 269.
