No, the 190 UDs operated on regular timesheets, replacing other buses. They are not additional buses.

When I first caught sight of the unmistakable UD front from far while on my home from work yesterday evening at Clarke Quay 6pm, I thought that it was yet another svc 851 UD cameo. My eyes almost popped out when she came nearer displaying the svc 190 desto as I really didn’t expect SMRT to let loose the UDs on arguably their star route so fast. Sometimes its worthwhile to carry a cam whenever possible, even if its for a record shot (and causing a tourist to crash straight into you in the process). (though I’m sure it would happen again).

Actually yesterday's appearance didn't lighten the crowd problem at all; it simply replaced a habit which often appears on the slot instead so it actually aggrevated the overcrowding problem.

Oic. They should have put it on a rigid timeslot or take out a Hino Volgren from 925 and place the Hino on 190, exchanging the Hino for the UD.

Even though it is said to be a 853 perm, TIB1256E is happilly hopping around all the Yishun Services. Saw one on 811 like last week. Taking over it is CSS205R (one of the sexist CSS Buses Laughing ).

UD will disappear in a few years. So it doesnt matter.

ppl from SMRT areas are quite used to it, unlike others who dont often see it in their areas...

Yeah. Seeing 178/187 zooming in WRI makes me seasoned to it. I ever took one in 2003 on either 178/187 and found that its quite ok

AMDEP's perm buses for split shift normally runs around cameoing on other services (or different time slots on that perm service). Eg like service 852's TIB616G/TIB1011U and service 980's TIB919H.

For this case TIB1256E is also a perm for one of service 853's split shift.
