F_B_I SG More Mercedes buses in SMRT losing their front rim guard, make it look not smart liao . Wth. Why make the rims gone. Even SBST also itchy hand make the VSO and VO3X 2nd batch rims gone.
Scania N113CRB luver SG FYI , its the 3rd batch VO3x that have rim guards larh ! Actually u are right . For the SMRT Mercedes Benz O405 , with its rim guard removed , the bus looks kinda...stupid.
F_B_I SG Leyland 1st BATCH Volvo 2nd BATCH Volvo 3rd BATCH. Mind you some 2nd batch have rim guards installed by the itchy hand people. Even the wheels also. Cosmetics play a part . Look at Hong Kong's buses, no wonder they got a larger bus fan bases then this small insignificant website buses.sgforums.com.
SBS9888Y SG its Volvo Batch 1-3, leyland has only 1 batch as after they were rpoduced Volvo close down its Leyland production facility
carbikebus SG If you say itchy hand but convieanance to technician especially tyre man is SMRTB AMDEP & SBST SLBP>Look at those Merc,Bendies also not spared. Volvo B10MK IIIs & MKIV DMs & Strider should put on nut guard,Ditto for Olympians
muziq bus SG What on EARTH are you talking about. It makes life easier for the tyre crew. SBS been doin it for years and i didnt hear an insult. Sheesh. your comment made you look kinda... B9TL wheels are not getting their polish, so are they what you call stupid too?
Scania N113CRB luver SG Sorry abt my harsh comment . What i meant is that the bus looks weird when compared with those Merc with rim guards on . Many apologies if i offended anyone . And i agree with you . Perhaps the reason why rim guards are removed is because life will be easier for the tyre crew .
ZYX2005 SG i prefer having those dress rims around. they bus co shd take pride in the look of buses. ZYX
Scania N113CRB luver SG I agree . Take a look at this HK VO3x , owned by Citybus . It has rim guards on . Compare this bus with SG VO3x with no rim guards , which bus looks smarter / nicer ? http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/6/62/PICT1766.JPG
ZYX2005 SG yes. dress rims beautify the bus. our bus co like taking loose badges off then never replace. but all this is cost efficiency. which is the fact of life everyone must go save on their money ZYX
F_B_I SG Tibs has those pinifarina words on the side of the buses, and one at the front. under SMRT all gone. F*ckers at SMRT. Hong Kong's buses have all the badges and stuffs displayed in full glory. And how easier will it for the wheel team people to remove the rims? require the entire workshop people?
