nope… heavily doubt if will be introduced on cck, bt batok svces… maybe 190 but a definite no to 106… its empty durin offpeaks and i wonder y SMRT puts in habits… buses like 61 have many inaccessible to wheelchair bus stops

To be more specific, the new B9TLs Voith gearbox model is the VOITH D864.3, 4-speed gearbox, and is currently the only bus to be eqipped with 4-speed Voith gearbox, other Voiths were all 3-speed. ZFs has alot of speeds available here. There were 4 speeds(ZF 4HP500/502 most common one), 5-speed(ZF 5HP590: used in the Scania L94UB,SBS9888Y), 6-speed (ZF 6HP502 : used in the B9TLs)

Yeap. But they were equipped with the older 4HP500 models. Newer ones are 4HP502, wonder whats the difference. Rolling Eyes The Volvo B7RLEs in the Sentosa uses the newer model, ZF 4HP502. You can hear the difference in gearbox sound, the "weeeoorrrrrr" sound is softer or almost inaudible than its older ZF 4HP500 bros. Mr. Green

when DDs were introduced to 161 & 168 in 2003, whole fleet of DDs were B10TL, ended up even low-floor buses were not even needed on 161 and 168

for the time being, we have to take it that WAB will not call at town estates dominated by SMRT svcs : Bt Batok, CCK, Bt Panjang, Woodlands, Yishun

Didn't quite know that one! On the other hand, my observation of the bus leads to the conclusion that it's performance closely resembles the 3 geared MKIV dms.
