Most common service to find Hinos are 925. 927 has one. Well, hinos have a strong ZF Hino Engine and the suspension is rated stiff and the seats are non-fabric, so the seats aren't that dusty. Laughing Recomended taking it on service 925.

Scania N113CRB luver SG

Ofcuz strong ! 13 litre engine leh , so far the largest engine in terms of capacity to be fitted on a city bus in SG . Laughing

There are pros and cons...the cons is that when you reach the carpark at Kranji reservoir, with N Parks not maintaining the car park well enough (and possibly because of the rise in metal prices), you get trenches instead of drains covered by metal covers. A Hino with its stiff suspension would almost immediately pass the momentum to the passenger. A Nissan would probably be the best thing to travel on these roads (though it would bounce a lot)

sit outside lot1 bus stop confirm can see

maybe sometimes lucky can see UD nissan too

stooper SG

Today was the first time I took Nissan after a few months! OMG! 376Z was bouncing even on smooth roads! Like AYE! The bus couldn't remain stable at all! And some more the bounces are very hard, like sudden jerks. You whole rubcage feels painful because of the sharp movements! Shocked Evil or Very Mad

- TIB905Y is more or less on Full day shift after school reopens.
- There is a perm Hino slot on 985/985W. Thanks to TIB696A which got into accident. It could usually be found on S Shift.

Many SLs says that Hino performance are good but the brake sucks big time. You will experience hard brake/jerking if the SL aren’t skill enough

SBS9806J SG

Never taken a perm before Laughing

Hino volgren buses were the first “smiley” buses introduced by Tibs in 1999. Still remembered that service 961 was the 1st to have such buses, after which it was redeployed over to service 188 when Tibs took over this bus service from SBS.

brotherchen1982 SG

Always see 2 Hinos cameo on 172(whole day) everyday. Laughing

Also all Hinos have cameo on 172.

TIB1018B SG

Seems like ever since ex CSS Nissan UDs went into KJDEP and deployed on services 925/975, there were more DAFs and Hinos running around cameoing on other services (eg. saw DAF cameoing on service 61 and 176 last Friday)

tintinspartan SG

OMG, i didn't know. Very interesting Laughing

Scania SG

They were also the first buses to run on Express 521 (now part of 963).

^tamago^ SG

try Service 172 too.

^tamago^ SG

Yes! The reason why Tibs decided to stop at the 16th Hino. Sad

muziq bus SG

Hino has quite a poor suspension.
Try 945 (if it ever appears again)
It cant handle the 13+ humps per trip

TIB1018B SG

Yup, TIB950R. This bus was initially under WLDEP for the purpose of introducing a new smiley bus on a new express service 521 (now service 963). The rest of the smiley Hinos were under KJDEP. TIB950R was eventually transferred to KJDEP too after a period of time.
