Scania N113CRB luver SG Erm , VSO here and VSOs in HK have the same power output , 285bhp . Its the different gearbox that led to different speed. Believe it or not , that time i took a box bendy on 176 , someone actually passed motion there ! Think is stomachache or smth .... i didnt notice it until my mum told me .... then the poor BC have to drive the bus back to depot . SMRT Hinos worst in suspension ? Hmm ... perhaps you might want to the Lances into account . Hinos aren't so bad IMO . Lances if you go over even a slight bump on the road at high speed , the bus receives a hard jolt .
SBS9806J SG I think SBST shouldn't put VSOs (Voith) on svcs plying e'way. Give all to BNDEP and put on 'slower' moving svcs better Slower - svcs that dun really need top speed.
SBS9806J SG More like chickenlittle2 misunderstanding what Scania has said (Scania Steering vs B10M Steering), then starts defending his MB 0405. Steering comparison from my observation: (Better - Worser) MB 0405 --> Scania N113CRB --> B10M MK3 What is rating of buses has become steering comparision
SBS9806J SG Not going to rate anything, but I think Svc 65 drivers like driving VSOs. When I was on SBS9806J, SBS9814K was on the opposite side. Then the BC of SBS9814K gave a thumbs up, when he saw SBS9806J.
sbst275 SG Best SBS Depot 1) HGDEP 2) BRBP 3) AMDEP 4) BBDEP Poor maintenance of NAC MK2, water leakage prob horrible 4) ARBP 6) BNDEP (The VSO exterior :lol
TIB1062Y SG I agree with you for the dusty part... As for the suspension, go try SBS 2696 E (HGDEP 151 Nokia bus) and let it pass thru several humps at around NUS area and see which one is more worst..
BusSpeeder SG you forget SLBP for me: Best Least HGDEP(no MBO405), AMDEP, BRBP, BBDEP,BNDEP, ARBP, SLBP (loads of LO3x, MBO405, DM3500)
SBS3625D SG I was thinking quite the opposite for many posts....... BCs like MKIIIs actually, at least for the HG BCs I asked, 0405s are also quite popular. They say both non-demanding buses, easy to drive.
SBS1984E SG some BC prefer MK III to Scania because the driver seat is higher in MK III then in Scania.
SBS9888Y SG the music mobile thingy on SBS2812L sucks like some buses TVM the thing can jam halfway den the song not nice...overall SBS2779A the best the song play like got awkward pauses halfway..makes it ugly
SBS9806J SG This is my own preference, and got nothing to do with mantainance. More of BC attitude 1. ARBP 2. HGDEP 3. BNDEP 4. BBDEP 5. AMDEP 6. SLBP 7. BRBP
SBS9888Y SG i think u haven see enough of braddell ba... for me i rate 1. BNDEP 2. HGDEP 3. AMDEP 4. BRBP 5. SLBP 6. ARBP 7. BBDEP bbdep BCs very rude from my experience
SBS9806J SG I guess so BTW I think ARBP 14 drivers sometimes a bit rude... but on the whole ARBP drivers are nice (esp 65 )
SBS9888Y SG Rate your best and worst bus of each model and why e.g Volvo B9TL Olympian Worst: SBS7494M (BRBP 8 When bus reaching highest gear will drag on the second highest gear for very lnog causing vibrations before moving to highest gear...somemore bus is NEW...took on 72 and 88 both BCs keep encountering same prob..isit BC drag on gear or isit the bus fault? Best: SBS7317S (AMDEP 21) This bus so long in service but still like brand new..acceleration is good and overall suspension is still ad good as new...a/c power...
Scania SG what 9806J posted is a bit contradictory to last year's SBST interchange performance Overall, best to worst 1) Toa Payoh Route Group 2) Boon Lay (Includes Tuas Terminal) 3) Serangoon (includes Sv11 (WOCC), Sims Place Terminal and Ban San St Terminal) ... The others dunno, but Pasir Ris was one of the last.
