hand painted ads really looks and sounds tedious unless if there were machines to help? [most probably so] but speaking of ads, i really miss those banner style ads [guess they were meta/plastic plates?] held by holders at the engine cover of DDs/top-back/top-side/rear. simple yet good for spreading messages. but unfortunately SBST and SMRT somehow feels like doing away with this. [SBST had done this away with almost all of its buses while SMRT is just starting to do away with that too]

I believe they have found the "sticker" ads replacement more cost effective. I also wonder if this could be a regulation by relevant authorities as the advertisement racks could be a hazard in an unfortunate event of an accident.

The strange thing, is that for the 254 VO2xes, which used to have the Ashtead Rentals ad on the metal holder on the engine cover had the whole ad and holder removed.
Then, they made the ad into a sticker and pasted it into the space between the upper and lower deck rear windows.
Now, they have taken the ad off and pasted it directly over the engine cover, so it looks rather ugly as some parts of the ad has gaps and holes to allow the engine cover to open and to allow engine ventilation.

If they were to save money, why bother changing the ad positions. Might as well leave it there until it expires then change. All the ads were of the same Ashtead Rentals ad... Confused

But isnt Pasir Ris Dr 3 where Pasir Ris Int is located?
