rubbish. when McDonalds increased the prices of its burgers by
10-15cents, u didnt complain.
a business is still a business. a business without profit end up
being liquidated.
when they increase the fare, they dont maximise profits, it is to
help pay for the cost of diesel, which is constantly on the
high.
there was a time when SMRT buses didnt make any earnings (in fact
loss) but was at least spared cos the parent company was making
money from the train business.
so you see, your few cents is not really worth it. if they were out
to increase profit, our bus fares would be like $4-$10 like other
countries.
