I already felt that the soul of CSS was hopelessly lost when routes 603 and 605 disappeared, along with the Hinos and DAFs along with the introduction of their remaining unique buses - the CAC Nissan U31RCNs - into SMRT's main fleet.

In fact, SMRT already killed it when it took over TIBS...

I doubt they will be scrapped & my guess is that they will maintain their CSS regos but the livery will be SMRTs

Will there be any new bus service to replace the CSS608 route? Very Happy Overcrowding in other services e.g Sv16 or Sv196 will commence after the withdrawal of CSS608 heading towards city. Sad

Hmm, I remember this route had Comfort minibuses. Plied from Bt Merah to MacPherson via Chinatown and Little India.

i remember taking the blue comfort buses when i was young. they seem to go many place.
still can remember the conductor punching the tickets and when they arent there, there'll be a OMO board up.

Thankz to new LTA ruling, the bus will very much remain the same except that the livery will be in SMRT livery instead of Orange CSS livery.
