Why we say Bus number 9 when it is single digit and bus sixty nine when it's 2 digits and bus 139 when it's 3 digit. why har?

For single digit, it's simple. '3' is pronounced as 'three'. Common sense right?

For two digit numbers like 69, I would recommend 'sixty-nine'.

But for three digit numbers, I would recommend reading every digit. If it's Service 293, I pronounce it as 'Townlink two nine three'.
