I know that, and I tried it once, but the walk was just too long
(unless you work at CMPB, in which you can enter by that side
gate)...
If you don't know already, CMPB has shifted their guardhouse to be
nearer to the pair of bus stops along Depot Road that is served by
routes 57, 195, 274, and (soon) 175 a few years back; my
already-ORDed colleagues, while telling me how to go to CMPB a year
ago, was already talking about it.
I think I will experiment with this route the next time I get to go
to CMPB from Sembawang Camp - no more MRT transfers; I now only
have to deal with one MRT-bus transfer in each direction
