swee_heng SG Today is the last day for SBST’s 1 & only Man 16.240 , as it will reach its lifespan tomorrow 4 Feb 2007 & withdrawn after that with no extension of lifespan. Info gotten from https://vrl.lta.gov.sg/lta/vrl/action/pubfunc?I…
Volvo Olympian SG That’s the SBS81S , which is a Training Bus perm , the nostalgic part is that the interior seats is the orginal SBS grey and blue strip seats , which its rare
The_Bus_Guide SG Oh dear. That is sad. I haven’t got a picture of it in SBST colours. Looks like I never will.
swee_heng SG U may still get it today , later at AMDEP if not , if u noe where SBST buses are scrapped , take the pic of it at the scrapyard at the very last moment , we dun mind the colours , just the shape will do
Airbus330Captain SG Your title is very misleading. SBST’s buses to be withdrawn, what you meant is the entire fleet of SBST’s buses are withdrawn. Please check carefully before posting next time.
SBS9888Y SG 81S has very different taillights anyone can post pic of the rear? i like the back MAN badge
swee_heng SG Ya. SJE ones are the same , is just that this one is auto gear , whereas the SJE's are Manuals . Btw SJE seems to have many old MANs but the shocking thing is that they are introduced & registered in 1994! WTF. I remember i went to the vrl web & type in duno wat number of an SJE MAN which look similar to 81S , the result comes out that that MAN was introduced & registered duno in 1994 or 1996. Whats this? SBS81S a demo?? By the way , SBS81S' taillight is the same as the SJE's
The_Bus_Guide SG SBS 81S is indeed a demonstrator bus for SBS. SJE has been using MAN 16.240 buses since the 1980s, before SBS got 81S. The MAN buses we see today are purchased later, hence they were registered in the mid 90s.
The_Bus_Guide SG The rear of SBS 81S looks like this: http://suhirman.fotopic.net/p9760661.html The interior looks like this: http://suhirman.fotopic.net/p9760657.html The dash and steering looks like this: http://suhirman.fotopic.net/p9760656.html
